It's (NOT) only rock and roll ... but ya'll like it.

What do you get when you mix great country music with classic rock and roll? Rock for a Reason to Boot out Abuse.

We are re-booting the Art Affair! Whether you “Walk This Way” or like to “Boot, Scootin, Boogie”, join us at the Radisson Hotel Cincinnati Riverfront in Covington, KY for a night of great rock and country music, dancing, and of course our highly regarded silent and live auction. We listened to the feedback from our corporate sponsors, guests and volunteers and decided to try something totally different.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. A time set aside to recognize our collective responsibility to prevent and confront all forms of child abuse and neglect. If you don’t know where to start, we can help. It can be as simple as a kind gesture to a stressed out parent, or reaching out to a child who needs your attention. It can be as extensive as supporting child abuse prevention and treatment efforts with your time, talent and treasure. It may be a word of encouragement that makes the difference, wearing a blue ribbon to show your solidarity with child abuse prevention, learning about the signs and symptoms of abuse and acting on your knowledge. It can start with many things, but it has to start with something. To have the most impact, it has to start today.

TWIGS and the Bully

Twigs and the Bully by Dennis Charlton

Family Nurturing Center is honored to be the recipient of part of the proceeds from the sale of a new anti-bullying book entitled "TWIGS and the Bully."

Local author Dennis Charlton along with illustrator Steve Fine have published "TWIGS and the Bully", in hopes of helping young people deal with bullies at school. The book is about a young boy and friends who are challenged by a school bully and is written for an age group of 4 to 9 years old. At the end of the book, there are questions designed to seek out possible problems that a child may have kept secret.
